A graphic designer by profession, Jules Ozaeta was facinated by the single line drawings of Pablo Picasso. She forayed into single wire sculpting in 2015, expressing line drawings three-dimensionally through an unbroken strand of gauge 3.2 galvanized wire.
What started with simple compositions has evolved into intricate pieces including even portraits. Since then, she has joined serveral art fairs, and group shows.
She was commissioned to create a portrait of Pope Francis which was given by Cardinal Tagle to the Pope personally. She has also done portraits in single wire for Former President (of the Philippines) Cory Aquino, the late Senator Benigno Aquino Jr., and the Vice President Leni Robredo, to name a few.
Jules Ozaeta is an alumna of the University of the Philippines, College of Fine Arts and is currently based in Manila.
